How does it work?
AGNES RF is the first device able to sculpt the face and deliver a non-invasive face lift – and address numerous cosmetic concerns – by combining two clinically proven treatments: Microneedling and Radiofrequency.
Microneedling is a non-surgical, minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that has been proven to improve the appearance of acnes, scars, keloids, stretch marks, hair loss, dark spots and acne.
Radiofrequency is used to promote the production of collagen and elastin for tissue regeneration. It’s the science behind many popular skin tightening and body contouring treatments.
Using proprietary and insulated needles of varying thickness and length, AGNES RF is able to stimulate collagen at different depths. The insulated needles are extremely smooth and sharp, allowing the needle to penetrate the skin cleanly, without much disruption to the skin. Since AGNES RF treatments pass through the skin layer that relates to pigment, the treatment is safe for all skin tones and types.

FAQ
You can expect to see some changes as soon as a day or two after the procedure. However, your body will continue to rebuild the collagen and elastin for several weeks after that, and you’ll continue to see improvement over the next 3 to 6 months.
Unlike many other procedures, AGNES RF has long-lasting results since it is your own body that is at work. The effects can last for several years.
There is an initial redness and swelling which substantially subsides after 24-36 hours. It can take up to a week for this to completely resolve. Most people resume normal activities within 48 hours.
Our team will discuss your goals which will determine the length and number of treatments you will need. Many see results after just 1 treatment, but it may take up to 3 treatments to get optimal results – as opposed to 6 treatments with many other treatments and devices.
About the Procedure
AGNES RF uses hand-held devices to target areas of the skin. The device typically passes over each area of the face and/or neck three times each, puncturing the skin to induce collagen and elastin, and both destroying fat and tightening skin using radiofrequency..
Depending on the area being treated, treatment can take as little as 15 minutes and up to an hour (allow an additional 30 to 45 minutes for numbing).
Pre-treatment tips:
- Do not use topical agents that may increase the sensitivity of your skin such as retinoids, exfoliants, topical antibiotics or acids 5-7 days prior to your treatment.
- Do not take anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen, Motrin, or Advil for at least 3 days prior to your microneedling session. These will interfere with the natural inflammatory process that is critical for your skin rejuvenation.
- Avoid IPL/Laser procedures, unprotected sun exposure, or sunburn for at least 2 weeks prior to your procedure.
- No waxing, depilatory creams, or electrolysis to the area being treated for 5-7 days prior.
- Do not shave the day of the procedure to avoid skin irritation. If there’s dense hair present in the treatment area, shave the day before you arrive for your appointment.
- If you’re prone to cold sores, take an antiviral agent for 2 days prior to and the day of the treatment.
- Avoid blood thinning agents for one week prior because bruising is a common side effect of microneedling.
Day of Treatment:
Knowing what to expect on the day of your AGNES RF appointment will make this procedure as comfortable and anxiety-free as possible for you.
What To Expect At Your Appointment
- Your skin will be cleaned so it’s free of lotion, oil, makeup, powder, or sunscreen. If you wish, you can wash your face in the office upon arrival.
- You will be asked to inform your skin care specialist about any relevant changes in your medical history and of all the medications you’re taking.
- Prior to your treatment, topical lidocaine will be applied to your skin.
- The treatment time varies based on the area being treated.
Post-Treatment Instructions
As with any cosmetic skin treatment, it’s important to look after your skin following an AGNES RF procedure for best results.
Post-Treatment Tips
- Your skin may feel tight, dry or sensitive to touch. Treat the skin gently by washing with a gentle cleanser, cool water, and using only your hands to pat dry no earlier than 4 hours after treatment.
- Some redness may also be present and in some cases, patients may experience slight bruising that can last for 5-7 days and temporary swelling for 2-4 days.
- Avoid strenuous exercises that cause sweating as well as jacuzzis, saunas, and steam baths for up to 48 hours.
- Do not take any anti-inflammatory medications for one week after the procedure. Use Tylenol for any discomfort.
- Avoid sun tanning and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight for 2-3 days. After 24 hours, always use sunblock (30 SPF or higher) and wear a hat if you’re outside.

Lymphatic massage on the face after treatment helps the fat cells and metabolic wastes to move out of your system, speeding and improving results. Additional radiofrequency treatments also compliment the speed and results of the AGNES RF treatment.
